Book report

The person that I have chosen to write about is the main character from the book Animorphs, Cassie. She is an ordinary girl, for the most part, she goes to school, lives in a normal house. She is African American and has 4 main friends, there names are Ax, Tobias, Rachel, and Marco. If you are in a morph for too long, you end up having to be that morph for the rest of your life. Her friend Tobias was in morph too long so he now remains a bird. One thing about her that most kids do not have and do not know about her is she can turn into other animals. This Andalite prince was dying and he needed to help save the earth so when the kids found him. He decided, granting them the ability to morph, to give them this burden.  Since she has this ability, there are people out there who want to kill her so her and her friends don't interfere in any of the business Any animal that she comes in contact with for more than a minute she absorbs their DNA (DeoxyriboNucleic Acid) and then any time she wants she can turn into it. She is a very kind person throughout the book. She kept  worrying about a skunks babies. Since she was taking care of skunk's mom, she felt the need to cater to the skunks. She treats everyone with about the same amount of respect. One of the characteristics that she has is brainstorming. By that I mean she thinks before she acts. During the book her friends were thinking about charging in the the yeerks place and destroy everything and hurt anyone they can, but she came up with a better idea about sneaking inside their "prison" termites and sneak under a leaf that was underneath their force field. She is a tree-hugging person. She loves nature and everything about it. She cares for animals, and when they are in need she helps them heal their wounds and she takes care of them until they can get back on their feet. She has a specialized barn that she tends to the animals with her dad. It never said how old she is but it said what classes she took and by guessing how she talks she is either 13 or 14. Where she lives, it does not say because the author was telling the story through her point of view so she was trying to keep her location secret to the guys who want to harm her and her friends. That is just a little bit that I have told you about Cassie.

I have just finished reading Animorphs by J.A. Applegate. I recommend this book, or any other Animorphs books to those who like adventure books and a little science fiction. I liked the parts were they were in the morph because they usually had a plan thought out so when they would finally put it into action there was a lot of fighting and cool stuff.  It was a pretty good book. I liked this book because it was easy to follow and it was not all over the place. What I mean is they would only like focus on one thing. For most books that I have read that involve more than one person it would like jump around. I liked how much detail they used. They described almost every detail of them and the scenery. When I was reading the book I felt like I was there and I could just imagine and picture everything. What I liked that they described the most was their feelings and what they were going through in their minds. They described what they were all feeling. But mainly Cassie. Since most of them had to lie to their parents so their parents would not know the truth, it said she was being eaten alive by her own guilt. They described when she was a termite. I also like when they talked about how they had two personalities when they were in a morph. If they were a mouse they would constantly be afraid, but the human personality was not. And the words were a little bigger than most words and it did not have too many pages.  I thought the person who came up with these books has a huge imagination. So to those who like adventure or science fiction books should check these books out.

  1. Michael – pt 1 – you do have some good info here, but need some organization – you really are all over the place – jumping from summary into description and back again. It’s seems even messier being that it is all in one paragraph . You have comma splices and some fragmented sentences too. I recommend you prewrite to gather your thoughts and organize first.
Pt 2- count how many times you used the word “like” in some form. You have some good ideas- take some time developing them.
